The AEP and the Administration of the Ports of Douro, Leixões and Viana do Castelo (APDL) signed a cooperation protocol.
The
AEP and the Administration of the Ports of Douro, Leixões and Viana do Castelo (
APDL) signed a cooperation protocol to strengthen relations with the business and industrial fabric of the Portuguese North Region.
The protocol was signed by the presidents of the two organisations, Luis Miguel Ribeiro and Nuno Araújo, respectively.
With the aim of increasing proximity,
APDL is strengthening its commercial side with companies and industries, focusing on the existing possibilities in the logistics sector so that they can receive or export cargo in a more efficient, profitable and environmentally friendly way.
"
AEP is one of the most relevant business associations in Portugal and has a wide experience in working with companies and industries, meeting the needs identified. That is why
APDL, now more than ever, wanted to be close to all those who use our ports to boost the national economy, always with the final purpose of meeting their needs and expectations", says Nuno Araújo,
APDL's president.
The President of
AEP , Luís Miguel Ribeiro, highlights the relevance of this agreement, that is, for being inserted in the Portuguese region with the greatest export vocation, the North region, being therefore a vital infrastructure for the companies of this and other regions of the country".
The protocol signed by Nuno Araújo and Luís Miguel Ribeiro will last until December 2022 and aims to strengthen institutional cooperation between the organisations, as well as to stimulate the competitiveness of companies by holding events to share experiences and information on the best logistics practices available to business people.
